Join RENMAD Mexico, the leading event on energy storage, and position yourself at the forefront of Mexico’s energy transition!
Mexico is undergoing a decisive moment in its energy transition. After years of regulatory uncertainty, the new government has launched a bold structural reform that is reshaping the national energy landscape. The creation of the National Energy Commission (CNE), replacing the former CRE, marks the start of a new policy aimed at fostering a more open, competitive, and sustainable system—one where renewable energy takes center stage.
The new National Energy Plan sets an ambitious goal: by 2030, at least 45% of Mexico’s electricity must come from renewable sources. Achieving this will require a significant investment in infrastructure, a deep modernization of state-owned enterprises and genuine openness to private capital and technological innovation.
One of the most transformative measures is the approval of the new General Administrative Provisions (DACGs), which mandate that all new power generation projects incorporate at least 30% energy storage capacity. This regulation positions energy storage as a strategic pillar of the national electric system and unleashes a new wave of business opportunities for developers, technology providers, integrators and investors.
RENMAD MÉXICO – THE LEADING ENERGY STORAGE EVENT RETURNS TO MEXICO CITY ON OCTOBER 15–16
This regulatory momentum comes at a time of significant economic growth. The surge in industrial activity is driving unprecedented energy demand. The need for a modern, flexible, and resilient grid is more urgent than ever—and energy storage is one of the key solutions to meet that challenge. Currently, 16 projects are under development aiming to reach a combined installed capacity of 8,412 MW in the coming years, signaling a new phase of rapid growth and innovation in the sector.
Mark your calendar for October 15–16 and join the energy transition at RENMAD México, the country’s leading event on energy storage.
