The integrated logistics of renewable H2 ensures the connection between production and demand points and represents a significant cost in the final product price, making it a key challenge to overcome, as well as a business opportunity and partnership creation.
Some of the most significant challenges H2 logistics present include, limited infrastructure of refueling stations, pipelines, and terminals to facilitate H2´s movement on a large scale, the high costs associated with H2storage and transportation, which can currently represent more than 50% of the total cost, and the lack of clear regulations and standardization at an international level for the development of H2logistics.
In this edition, we will embark on an on-site visit to REPSOL’s mobile hydrogen refueling stations (HRS), which supply hydrogen to ALSA buses. Additionally, we’ll explore the development of the CSIC project involving the establishment of the first nationwide hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) for public use located at the El Cisne station (ZOILO RIOS) in the Ebro Hydrogen Corridor. Our journey will commence aboard a hydrogen bus provided by ALSA, where we’ll witness a refueling demonstration.
