Poland’s battery pipeline is moving from paper to construction. BESS projects already hold about 5 GW of Capacity Market obligations, a new main auction may follow in 2027, the April 2026 amendment lets standalone batteries share grid connections, and new construction starts are announced every few weeks. With delivery dates fixed by Capacity Market contracts, 2027 will reward the companies that build well, on time and on budget.

Construction is also where the market has the least experience. Few EPCs in Poland have delivered utility-scale batteries, developers and contractors often read the same contract in very different ways, transformers can take more than a year to arrive, and fire safety standards, warranties and grant conditions all bear on the construction schedule and the cash flow. Regulation and market rules are still evolving too, and each change has to be reflected in contracts, designs and financing.

RENMAD Storage Polska 2027 looks at the BESS business through the lens of the build. On 27 and 28 April in Warsaw, developers, EPCs, suppliers, network operators, traders, investors and lenders meet to discuss how to contract, deliver, finance and operate battery projects, so you leave knowing how to take your projects from RTB to COD and into operation.
