The II Edition of the RENMAD Biomethane Awards 2027<\/strong> is an initiative dedicated to recognising and celebrating the most outstanding examples of the biomethane sector in Spain. These awards highlight both the projects and solutions that are driving the development of the sector and the people whose work is contributing decisively to its growth, innovation and consolidation.<\/p>\n

In this second edition, the awards have four categories<\/strong>, which distinguish both business initiatives and individual trajectories and contributions: Biomethane Project, Innovation, Personality of the Year and Woman of the Year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/i><\/i><\/span>BIOMETHANE PROJECT AWARD<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

The award is aimed at biomethane production projects operational in 2026 in Spain, which stand out for their contribution to the development of the sector and for their positive impact in economic, social, territorial and environmental terms. Its ability to promote the circular economy, generate new opportunities in the territory and contribute to decarbonisation objectives will be particularly valued.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>INNOVATION AWARD<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

This award recognises innovative solutions, technologies, initiatives or business models that are contributing to the advancement of the biomethane sector in Spain. Its ability to solve challenges in the sector, improve the efficiency and sustainability of projects, generate new business opportunities or facilitate the integration of biomethane into the energy and production system will be particularly valued.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

<\/i><\/i><\/span>PERSONALITY OF THE YEAR AWARD<\/span><\/a><\/h4><\/div>

This award recognises a person who, from management, technical, research, dissemination, administration or business or financial leadership, is contributing decisively to the growth and consolidation of the biomethane sector in Spain. Their trajectory and contribution should represent a significant boost for the sustainable development of the sector and for the advancement of the circular economy and decarbonisation.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

This award recognises a woman whose career, leadership and contribution are having an outstanding impact on the development of the biomethane sector in Spain. Their ability to promote projects, innovation, knowledge, investment, dissemination or transformation of the sector will be particularly valued, as well as their contribution to making visible and strengthening the role of women in the biomethane industry.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

            An explanation of no more than 100 words about the candidacy and its relevance to the category to which it is submitted.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

            Beneficiaries<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

              Individuals or legal entities that have stood out for their work in the field of biomethane may be candidates.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              The recognized projects, initiatives and activities must have been developed in the national territory.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

              Format and voting<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

                The format of the Awards is popular; The nominations and election of the winners will be made by the votes of individual people.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

                Each person may cast <\/span><\/span>a single vote per category<\/b><\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n

              • \n

                Candidates may apply for more than one category when they meet the requirements established for each of them.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

                Selection of winners<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

                  The same company or organization may not be the recipient of more than one award in the categories corresponding to organizations. In the event that the same organization is the winner in more than one category, only the one in which it has received the most votes will be awarded.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/li>\n
